About Buddhist Art

My fascination with Asian sculpture has started over 10 years ago as a hobby and has grown over many years. When I lived in Asia, I was very fortunate to have many friends who have important collections of Asian Art. Thus I was able to gather knowledge, initially about Thai, Lao, Khmer and Burmese Art, later expanding into Himalayan and Chinese Art. My expertise comes from „hands on“ experience, not from looking at pictures, reading books and looking at museum pieces behind glass.

To determine not only the style of an art object, but also its authenticity, is something that you can only learn from having held hundreds or thousands of pieces in your hands, including fakes and having talked to experts and the most skilled artists who create reproductions. To make room for new acquisitions I sell pieces of my collection. In the last 2 years pieces from my collection were sold to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Wereldmuseum in Rotterdam and the Asian Civilizations Museum in SIngapore. I personally guarantee for the authenticity of every piece that I locate for you. Since I don’t have a permanent gallery, there are no overhead expenses for my clients. Please enjoy looking through my homepage. It will give you some background knowledge and show you examples of pieces that you can buy. If you have further questions, please contact me.

Thank you!
